Why don’t we start with the “safe streets” comment. People pool into “safe” areas because they don’t want crime. Instead of redeveloping established areas, why don’t we focus on crime so there are more “safe” areas?
That's a different angle than my interpretation of safe streets. I'm more referring to streets safe from cars so people can walk, play in and enjoy the street without feeling like they are in danger of being hit by a car.
